Groomed Trails "I", "F" and "D" today.

Grooming for the 2010-2011 snowmobile season began today. Great snow with medium and higher elevations having deep fresh powder!!!!!!! --remember: you can make these posted pictures full size by clicking on them. The Warming Hut Complex is ready and we will bring fresh propane bottles when we return Sunday. We are opening up Trail "B", then on to the warming hut. Monday on to HWYS 36 and 89. The cell signal was lousy today and our new system can only boost a signal-- not make one, so some days going up the hill next to the warming hut will be your only option! Your groomers would like to wish you and our Cross Country Ski friends, with whom the parking lot is shared, a SAFE and enjoyable holiday season and the very best in the new year.

Grooming has not yet begun....Stay tuned!

Your Groomers have been given a """"GO""""" to be on the trails grooming, but it WILL NOT be today---as the Butte County Public Works has not closed the Jonesville Gate. Butte County Public Works staff will be checking road conditions this morning and will keep us advised. Our next post will be when grooming begins---no later than this coming Sunday...Dec26th, when the Lassen's new Winter Forest Order takes effect.

Welcome to snowmobiling in the Jonesville Snowmobile Area of the Lassen National Forest

Jonesville is one of SIX major designated snowmobile areas in the Lassen National Forest with the Forest totaling 477 miles of groomed trails, one of the largest groomed snowmobile trail systems in California. Be safe and enjoy a WINTER WONDERLAND-- The Lassen National Forest.
